Some of my own work

Since this is kind of like my visual diary I decided that I should probably put some art work in it. These images are of a work in progress. Not sure what to call it yet but all up there are 18 poles, to represent my age. Each pole represents something, somewhere, or someone that has helped shaped me as a person.

Rouge Coco no. 36

Today while i was looking for a party dress for my sister, I happened to catch a glimpse, out of the corner of my eye, the new chanel rouge coco lipsticks. Curiosity set in and i couldn't help myself. I snuck over there and had a little looksy. The very well-mannered Chanel lady asked me if I needed any help. Yes I needed help but she did not have the remarkable skill required to drag me away from there. So I did what any normal girl would; I asked if I could try one in deep plum. After lying about coming back after having a think about it, I left with chanel's rouge coco no. 36: Lune Rousse painted all over my pout. It is fabulous. However, with a very limited money supply, and at 50 bucks a stick, i will leave it there with the ladies of Chanel... for now at least. None of the dresses I had picked out were bought by my sister; however, i did purchace a cheeky pair of grey suede heels.

Making and Baking

So, with the semester nearly over and nothing much else to do I've decided to do two things: make art and bake. I can't decide which one I love more but I like to think I am decent at both. I'm thinking of making mini lemon meringue pies and maybe some banana bread. Scrumptious.

Drew this picture today. it is actually a design for a necklace that is going to be made with emu feathers, wire (either copper or silver), and chain. I love emu feathers; so silvery and magical. I think the drawing is actually quite pretty too.

R.I.P Louise

Louise Bourgeois died on the 31st of May. She was a very influential sculptor and will be missed. She did lived to a ripe old age of 92. She will be missed.

Tea ladies?

I don't know how anyone could not enjoy a tea party. Whether it is high tea, afternoon tea, or morning tea they great. Is there possibly a cuter way to spend time with friends? I doubt it. everything about them is cute, from the tea cups to the finger sandwiches, from the sweet goodies to the tea. There is no excuse for not liking tea parties. Unless you are in fact Alice and have no idea where you are and you are having tea with a rabbit and a hatter who are both crazy... even then it seems silly not to enjoy yourself.
